SwapCell started in Connecticut by a group of co-workers from a wireless retail franchise in 2013. With a combined 25 years in the wireless industry, the founders recognized the importance and value of the trade-in ecosystem in the dawn of the smartphone era. Understanding the ever changing landscape of not only the wireless industry as a whole, but at the retail store location, SwapCell was able to implement and prove an extremely successful program.
In 2017 SwapCell broke off into its own independent entity with a focus not only at the retail store level, but also service to non-profits, corporations, municipalities, as well as direct to consumer. Believing in the principles instilled in us by our former employer to “put the customer first”, our mission is to create the most value for any customer. This is accomplished by our continued work on refining our process to become as efficient as possible, leaving our customers to be the main beneficiaries of our efforts.
